Created by the effects team at Industrial Light & Magic (ILM), this storyboard depicts the scene in which the Ark of the Covenant was opened by the Nazis, releasing ancient spirits. While the storyboard itself is printed, numbered for shot "OA-7" and dated "7.11.80," it is hand-annotated "Guy lets go of staff, it starts to drop" and "30x," referring to the shot being 30 frames long, in graphite by co-writer/executive producer Lucas.
