Cased Imperial German 1870 Iron Cross Grouping

Cased Imperial German 1870 Iron Cross Grouping, interesting and well made grouping of Imperial German awards, including an 1870 grand cross of the Iron Cross with the frame being stamped with the crescent moon and crown 800 silver mark and Berlin W. Un-marked loop and a large piece of medal ribbon. Fine quality made 1870 pattern Iron Cross 1st class with the reverse having a needle pin and catch fixing. The reverse is stamped ‘J WAGNER & S 14 LOTH’. Good finish to the frame and centre of the cross. 1870 Iron Cross 2nd class with 25 year cluster, complete with its ribbon. Medal frame has nice dark patina. Prinzen size 1870 Iron Cross 2nd class with miniature 25 year cluster and ribbon. Good patina finish to the frame. Set is housed in a purpose made case. An unusual grouping of awards which we believe to have been put together and cased by a collector. The grand cross is extremely well made but due to the rarity of the award we would assume that this is not a issue piece.
