Attributed to John Varley (1778-1842) Eton College at Dusk, watercolour, 24.8 x 37.5 cm, frame 52 x 64 cm Provenance: Collection of Mr Magdi Obeid, purchased Dominic Winter 08/12/2012 lot 46 Condition: The painting is a watercolour, framed under glazing - not examined external to the frame. Sheet appears overall good condition - some wear and tear to the top left corner (see image). There are a few isolated and sparsly distributed spots of foxing- mostly to the left side. The overall paint condition appears well preserved and stable, the colours are good. An additional, slightly faded signature is visible to the lower right (see image). Frame has general wear and tear.
