A shamshir dating: 19th Century provenance: Turkey, Curved, single-edged blade, with flat facets, some pitting, surface with traces of damask. Iron quillon with straight quillons, with small hole and button ends. Grip with horn grip scales. Wooden, leather-covered scabbard (small damages and signs of time), silver mounts, long cap and chape with garlands and frames in relief. No lugs. length 87 cm.
