The first four medals swing mounted, all display mounted on a cardboard sheet, a few toned, otherwise extremely fine - uncirculated.

Alan Lawrence Johnson, Royal Australian Infantry Corps, born 04Nov1944 at Burnley, Vic; served in Vietnam as Lance Corporal with 5RAR 08Feb1969 to 05Mar1970; confirmed as a member of the Australian Contingent of 152 in the Rhodesia Commonwealth Ceasefire Monitoring Force Dec1979 - Mar1980.

The Commonwealth Ceasefire Monitoring Force was established to supervise the implementation of the Lancaster House Agreement between the government of Southern Rhodesia and the guerrilla forces of the Patriotic Front. The role of the multi-national force was to keep peace between 22,000 guerillas and the Rhodesian forces during the cease-fire run up to the elections and the independence achieved by the new Republic of Zimbabwe. The Australian contingent of 152 was spread throughout the force that consisted of a Headquarters and 3 Groups. Those involved were awarded the Rhodesia Medal and the Zimbabwe Independence Medal.
